Last week Friday was Muli’s birthday.  All three of us were very excited about this day.  Muli was excited because she was finally going to eat her birthday cake and have all her birthday wishes come true.  You can read about her birthday wishes here.  Me and Cullo were happy, simply because of being Muli’s parents.  She has brought a lot of joy in our lives and made life worth living.

She is everything I ever imagined her to be when I first find out that I was going to have a baby girl.

A day before her birthday, she was besides herself.  Counting hours to her birthday.    The look on her face was priceless when she saw her birthday cakes.  We bought two cakes and we took one to school.  She kept on asking if the cakes were for her birthday. Like she could not believe it. Ha!.

When she woke up the next day, on her birthday, she went to the fridge to have a look at her cakes.  She called us once more just to let us know that the cake is hers, it is Friday and it is her birthday.  Ha!  We sang for her and she was all smiles.

We took a cake and party packs to school so she can share with her friends.  I specifically asked teachers to lit the candles because that was in her list of birthday wishes.  Teachers took pictures of her and friends during the day.  That was so kind of them.  Looking at the pictures I feel like I did not miss a thing.

In the evening when we came from work we went for drinks at a local restaurant.  We chose the restaurant that has a play area for kids.  She played the whole time and cared-less about us.  It was OK  with us as we had time to talk about our day at work.

In the evening she received calls from Friends and her cousins back home in Mafikeng .  They sang for her.

The following day – Saturday, we took her to Two Oceans Aquarium.  Story for the next post.

Take care,
Nez
