Is this my shadow?

Do you still remember the day you discovered your shadow?.  Honestly, I don’t.  But I heard too many stories about kids discovering their shows.  They were all so funny. I remember the day Muli discovered her shadow.  She was 16 months.  We were in church.  One lady picked her up and she started crying for me.  The lady put her down and as she ran towards me she saw her shadow.  Oh my, she ran as fast as she could.  Once she realised she could not outrun the dark shape next to her, she cried hysterically.  Ha!  If she had […]

Its been a while since I have documented some crazy things about Muli.  She grows up so fast.  I was reading this post  and this one and already I have forgotten some of the things but thanks to the fact that I wrote them down.  Its so amazing to watch her grow, at times I wish I can freeze time.  We are still allowing her to say “fininish”  instead of finish.  It sound so sweet coming from her and it makes us laugh. Its Friday. On a lighter note lets talk about the craziest things Muli has said. In Cape […]

Back to school in SA-Cape Town.

It was a big day in our house today.  Muli started kindergarten.  We have been talking about kindergarten for the past few days to prepare her mind for the big day. Its been a month since we arrived in SA from France.  We did not want to put Muli in school immediately.  We wanted her to adjust to life back home.  First few weeks when we arrived she could not understand why people could not respond to her.  It was frustrating to her.  She was speaking French, though she understood English. I stayed home with her for the past four […]

Hello Lovelies, I am so thankful for having this year clear of all life commitments and just focusing on my family.  I am also grateful that I had an experience of a very demanding career.  If not, I wouldn’t have realised what a blessing this year was.  I would have let precious time pass by without having to consciously take some time to appreciate and serve my family.  I try to make everyday count. Muli’s school is 5 minutes walk from our place.  When I fetch her in the evenings I walk to school and use a tram to come […]

A bus trip & Muli refuses to share.

Written by , Posted in All about Muli

Hello friends! It seems like yesterday when Muli started a new school term.  Its like I just blinked and WALA!, school holidays again.  Muli schools closed on Friday last week.  They will resume in two weeks time.  I am borderline excited to spend two weeks with this cute face. One of the amazing things for me about being a parent is to see the world through my daughter’s eyes. To please Muli I don’t need to bring her the moon and the stars. Everyday to her is magical. Yesterday I wanted to check on kiddies activities in town.  We took […]

I want to freeze time.

Written by , Posted in All about Muli

Hello Lovelies, Today I woke up stronger than a double espresso.  I did a good run and it rained on me for a good 1 and a half kilometres.  I did not mind.  A perfect morning.  Now let me do a quick post about cutest things that makes me want to freeze time.  Muli has this kind of laugh that surprises me every time.  It all starts with her asking for something.  When I reject her request she gives me this face. Well, as you can see its not easy to ignore this face.  Then I sigh and give in.  […]

Her last day of school term in France

Today marks the last day of school for my girl.  Its the end of the term and the start of school summer holidays.  School will resume in September. I am so proud her.  Rightfully so because it has not been an easy transition for her.  During the early days in France, I could see frustrations in her actions when she comes home from school.  But every morning she will put a big smile on her face and ready to start another day with her new teachers and new friends.  She was so brave. I will forever be grateful to the […]

Ice cream, popcorns + Rio 2

I have been for a long time, postponing to take Muli to Cinema.  Like real movie theatre.  There never seems to be a good time.  Yesterday I had plans to do some shopping.  While shopping I thought going to cinema will be good and the weather was great too.  Then off we went to check what is playing and we found Rio 2.  We had some few minutes to kill before the film start and we went for Ice cream.   I heard the buzz of excitement back in 2011 about release of Rio but never watched it due to […]

Interesting things about Muli

Written by , Posted in All about Muli

Life with a three years old child is fun, so where the previous stages.  What I like more about three years is that she fully understand instruction.  She understands words.  She also asks a lot of questions.  I managed to stop turning princess dresses into sleep wear.  The girl just does not want to come out of shiny dresses.  I once tried to stop her from sleeping with princess dresses but she cried so much that I thought I was torturing her.  This time it only took face to face explanation. I explained to her that princess dresses are not […]
