Hello precious girl!

 2014-04-08 23.10.05     2014-04-08 23.20.29

Tomorrow you are turning three years old.  You have brought so much joy in me.  I remember the day we welcomed you in this world like it was yesterday.  Every milestone you reached and every moment I spent with you is engraved right in my heart.  You are the prettiest, brightest and the bravest girl ever.  I am so glad you are mine.  Pretty girl, I have something for you. I have compiled a list of distinct things that you like and don’t like at this age.

Interesting facts about you at three years:  You love to pray and sing on your microphone, you love mother goose club rhymes and watch them over and over, you like sorting cutlery,  you are scared of the sound of vacuum cleaner, you don’t like animal next to you precisely within 3km radius, you like singing ‘Old McDonald had farm’ and I must sing ‘Iya-Iya-ho’ part if I don’t you throw a huge tantrum, you speak three languages (English, French and IsiXhosa), you get fascinated by waltz Disney animations and watch them repeatedly.

You love chocolate but you do not call it by its name. You tasted chocolate when where about a year old.  Every time I gave you a piece of chocolate you will want more and I will say ‘Its finished’.  Then you thought chocolate is called finished.  So every time you want chocolate you will say ‘Mama I want finished’.  Strange!

Often when I pick you up from school I say ‘I have something for you’ and I will take out a piece of chocolate.  No matter how small it is, it makes you happy. Now when ever you want chocolate you say ‘Mama I want something for you’.  Its the sweetest thing ever.

You love everything girly, hair bands, hand bags, nail polish, shoes and sun glasses.  You are totally crazy about princess dresses, you want to wear dresses everyday.

Muli you are very appreciative.  Whenever someone buys you something new you make them feel like they put their money in good use.  You express that character so well by sleeping with every new thing you get, you name them toys, dresses, sunglasses, shoes and pens.

If everything were to go according to your wishes you will  spend all your time watching teletubbies, Disney animations and Disney junior programme.   I’m sure you can gladly throw away all the toys you have and play with cell phones, laptops and tablets.

You hate sleeping.  We stooped asking you to nap during the day.  This has gone as far as you crying every time you hear the word sleep.  We took break from using the word ‘sleep’ in this house instead we use the word ‘rest’.  I am patiently waiting for the day you will come to me and say ‘mama I want to sleep’.

I get impressed of how much you love your cousins, you talk about them often and you like saying all their names.  I get it, those kiddos love you and you are crazy about them.  I pray that this love stay between you kids.

You are more lovable than a cuddliest sleeping koala.  You love kissing and hugging your mommy now and again.  That makes my heart melt.

My girl, you have been blessed from above.  God has a perfect plan for you.  He will make you grow and nature all the gifts within you.  I am so proud of who you will become.  Your Daddy is as proud as I am of you.

Endless Love from your Mom.

Take care,
Nez
