A Weekend in Paris.

Hello there!
We spent 3 nights in Paris (the 8th to 10th of this months). I like that I did not have to do all the planning. It was a beautiful surprise from Cullo. When he came back from work that Friday he said: “I booked us three nights in Paris, get packing we leaving tomorrow morning”. I was besides myself. All I was worried about was if Muli had enough warm clean clothes. Luckily she had enough.
On Saturday morning we left Tours and arrived in Paris about 2pm. After checking in and having lunch we headed to Eifel Tower. I always wanted to see Eifel Tower at night. Last year this time when I first arrive in France, we did a Grand Tour of Paris. This time we just wanted to walk down the streets and just see other non touristy places .
As usual the Tower did not disappoint.
We sat and watched the entire tower in the warm glow of light projectors and sparkling strobe lights. We enjoyed the cool night breeze as we view Parisians landmarks glitters in evening lights. Muli enjoyed playing in the park nearby.
None of us was in a hurry to go back to the hotel. We stayed till late.
The following morning after breakfast we headed to one of the most beautiful street in Paris – Rue Cremieux. A pedestrian street lined with colourful, terraced small homes near Gare de Lyon in Paris.
The ambience was peaceful.
We went into Gare de Lyon to take a train to Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris.
We stopped by a small Creperie and bought Muli a crepe. It was her request of course. Girlfriend likes and eats crepe like a Parisian. She needs not to worry, she will crave no crepe when we go back to SA, because I befriended some Parisians and learned to make perfect Brittany crepes.
Muli was on her small stroller, it was easy to walk around. We walked miles and miles that day. I am so glad I wore my running shoes. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes that I own. I would have not made it through the day with any other shoes in my closet

We ended our day at Le Louvre. Our plan was to enter the gallery but the lines where too long. Our tickets are valid for a year, we will come back next time.
I started having a light headache right when we got to Louvre. That was the beginning of my fever that I talked about in my last post. We sat in a restaurant for muffins and some drinks. And later took a train back to our hotel. My body temperature fluctuated all night.
The following day we had visitors. My friend back in SA called me that morning to ask if it will be possible for us to meet her little sister who was in Paris. We were delighted. The lovely girl came with her fiancé and we had a good time catching up. It was so kind of them to visit us.
After they left Muli and Cullo took a walk around town. I was too tired to explore. We decided to cut our stay short and leave early the next morning to see the doctor and have a rest at home.
We had the best time in Paris regardless of my small sickness. I am all bouncy now and have recovered very well from fever.
Be blessed!
Take care,
Nez
