6 months of Luna

Last year September this day our youngest Luna was born.  I am a mom for the third time but each experience has been completely different.  We wanted Luna so much, we prayed for him.  He is our blessing, everything we have been hoping and waiting for. I wrote this when Luna was six months.  He is now 7months and I am going to go on and publish it. It shows  how busy life is. It was new to me when we had to schedule his arrival.  His two sisters came at their own time.  Life is unpredictable, that’s what makes it fun. […]

I cant believe that my last post was in February.  The thing about blogging is once you stop, it is not easy to start gain.  Everyday I intended to start but never did.  Nevertheless I am here and lets just catch up. I am sitting here typing this with a full heart.  This is my view: We were blessed with a cute baby boy on the 17 of September.  He keeps me busy and awake all day all night and I m not complaining.  We shall call him Lulu (Hi cyber world!). We have adjusted to our new normal as a family of 5.  […]

My life as a homemaker and a career woman.

I like to call myself a homemaker.  In my own definition, a homemaker is a wife and a mother.  It is a woman who selflessly gives out herself to making  “a house” a home.  It is a woman who manages and does household chores and looks after the wellbeing of her family.  This woman understands that her children are a GIFT and God is in control.  She does all this with grace and smile on her face. I am also a career woman.  I do not just pass time at work.  I am dedicated, I pay attention and I have passion […]

Picnic with Friends at Spier Wine Farm

Now that Im celebrating 10 years of marriage this year, I think I have one advice for you. Ha!. Having mutual friends with your husband and actually hanging out together is healthy for your marriage.  Add it to your new years goals.  You will thank me later ha!.  It is therapeutic to watch a person that you love so deeply getting lost in laughter with your friends and in your presence. As working parents we hardly have time to catch up with our friends.  When our friends extended invitation to our family for a picnic at Spier Wine Farm we cleared our schedules. We […]

Summer break is officially over.

Last week Thursday the kids started school.  The kids slept at 8pm sharp a day before they start school.  They were looking forward to sleep because they were exhausted.  We had a movie date and had loads of playtime in the mall.  You can read about our movie date here if you want. I was hoping to do a 5ish km before I start the day but I only managed to kick the blankets at about 6am.  I was not going to be able to drop them on time should I start with 5km run, so I settled for a quicker […]

Our Summer Holidays in Pictures.

Written by , Posted in Travel

In the previous post I mentioned that we did not travel this summer holidays.  It was the first Christmas holidays ever for us as a couple and parents that we have spent in our house.  We normally go on a family vacation or travel to either my parents house or Cullo’s parents house. Like any working parent, my initial plan for the holidays was to play tourist here in Cape Town and entertain the kids to make up for all those days I was working.  However I quickly realised that it wont be necessary, because kids were so relaxed and enjoying each […]

Happy new year + A movie day.

We had the most relaxing Christmas holidays.  We decided not to travel this December holidays.  It is difficult to leave more than 1300km from your parents and siblings.  Christmas is better spent with family and friends.  It was a bit lonely though but we had time to each other without the rush of work and school.  I also had a time to do and think about Christmas traditions we practised when growing up.  We also introduced new traditions for our young family.   I miss my Mother and siblings, I will see them in the early months of this year. I thought Muli school is beginning this morning.  I […]

Muli and Zee say the darndest things

Today I am relaxed at home.  Zee is under the weather.  I took off few days from work to keep an eye on her.  She was grumpy this morning and her tiny bad attitude landed her in a naughty corner.  After a very brief time in a naughty corner, I called her.  She came, but refused for me to hold her (she is breaking my heart).  I went on working on my laptop, and found her sleeping like this. It was cute.  I wished I could freeze the moment.  I remembered that I used to document special moments like this somewhere.  Then it hit me “conversations with myself”, […]

Cape Town Aquarium Sleep Over June 2018

Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

The past few weeks have been challenging.  Our helper resigned and left mid of this month.  My work week hours were longer.  It was tougher to achieve work life balance.  As a mom of a 7 years old and an almost two year old, have learnt, like all moms will attest that they grow up fast.  No matter how hectic it is, spending time with and serving my family is a priority. That is why it was easy for me to sighn up for yet another sleep over at the aquarium, that was held this past Saturday.  Cape Town Two Ocean Aquarium host […]

May Happened.

Written by , Posted in My Thoughts

The month of May was busy for my family.  It all started with Muli’s friend birthday party.  Its like every parent wanted to celebrate their wee ones birthdays with birthday parties this month.  Every weekend Muli had an invitation to honour. On the 19th we celebrated Muli’s birthday with an awesome birthday party.  I hope to have a post later on, about her birthday party. While Muli was living her life attending birthday parties,  we did not let Zee feel like she is missing out.  We had loads of little weekend adventures. We went to Cape Town Two Oceans Aquarium.  It was fun because […]
