Disneyland Paris- a day pass

Happy Monday!
This weekend was a blast. We visited Disneyland, Galleries Lafayette, Palace of Versailles and we traded Louvre Museum visit for a shopping spree at La Vallee Village in Paris. We left Tours in the early hours of Friday. By 7:30am we were already in Paris. Our check-in at the hotel was only at 3pm. The guy at the reception was so kind to let us check in at 7:30am. We booked for 2nights.
Our first day: Disneyland Paris.
The Disneyland is huge, for a day pass you wont be able to see even half of it. So we made a list of The Park’s unique attractions that we would like to try. We planned to skip the Studios and do only the Theme Park but because of technical issue in one of the rides and height restriction on the other we ended up having time to check The studios. There were queues already at 11am when we entered the Park.
The park is enjoyed by both kiddies and adults. Our first ride waiting time was about 30min. Muli waited patiently.
After Dumbo the flying elephant and the Teacups ride we went to Mickey Mouse house.
To say Muli was happy to see Mickey Mouse is putting it mildly. She was super excited to meet the character. It was difficult to control her eagerness when we were close by. And her time finally came to meet Mickey.
We were not sure what she was asking Mickey. What ever they were chatting about took long. From there Muli did not want to part with the picture she took with Mickey mouse neither did she want to meet other characters. She is a loyal friend ha!
This was for sure Mulis highlight of the day, for us it was the Pirates of the Caribbean at the adventure land. This is a ride on the boat in dark water. We floated in the dark canal featuring gunshots, cannon blasts, burning buildings, hanging skeletons and ghostly voices. There were thunderstorms and lightings and scary descending boat, accompanied by a familiar song Yoh hoh! a pirate life for me.
Don’t ever skip this ride when you are in Disney not only is it adventurous you come out refreshed and pumped with energy. After the ride we continued admiring the beauty in the park.
At this time Muli was exhausted so we walked around with her sleeping on the stroller. We had our lunch at 3pm, we carried enough snacks to take us pass lunch time.
Afterwards we explored the Walt Disney Studios.
Now lets pause a bit and talk about this tram ride.
This was also our favourite though it was scary for our girl. What started as a peaceful tram ride, without warning turned out for disastrous earthquake, burning buildings and violent trembling of the tram.
Wait friends, we are survivors. All this was simulation and a very scary one.
Being the good parents that we are, we continued from here to another scary experience. The toy soldier parachute. The first plunge down was a shock. Descending was worse than flying up. After the rising and falling for maybe 3x I screamed simultaneously with Muli. We were begging for safe landing. The little girl is a toughie, like mommy ha!
After this we did the Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin. It was a very smooth ride. Muli enjoyed it. Cullo wanted another adventure, but me and our pumpkin had enough. We watched her doing this frightening ride .
This time the rides were empty as it was closing time for the studio. Walking at the place at night felt magical like the place itself.
We miss you in South Africa, and I deeply appreciate your responds through comments on the site and e-mails. To those I have not met, I appreciate you too. I like making new friends.
How was your weekend?.
Next post will be a re-cap about the upmarket French shopping centre – Galleries Lafayette followed by the imposing Palace of Versailles.
Take care,
