This week Friday, Muli will be turning four years.  Four years old!  I cant believe that I´m now a mother to a four years old daughter.

She has been asking when is her birthday last year already.  In-between she continued to claim everyone’s birthday as her own. Ha!.  Now it is finally her birthday on Friday.  This week every night when I tuck her to bed she asks if it will be Friday when she wakes up in the morning.  When she wakes up in the morning she asks if its Friday.   Ha!

Her fourth year birthday is very distinct from the previous once because this year I get to include her wishes in planning her birthday celebrations.  It got to me that all the past three years I have been planning my wishes for her on her birthday.  This year I have to include her wishes.

I asked her several times about what she wants for her birthday and every time her answer is:

  • I want to blow (meaning she want to blow candles),
  • I want to read a card (girlfriend want her own birthday card) and
  • I want you and daddy to sing happy birthday for me.  For her birthday song she wants a specific tune that we normally sing at church.

Her wishes are our command.

I still remember coming with her from hospital as if it all happened yesterday.  It is strange to think that four years have passed from that day.  Today she is a bold little girl, she wont stop till you give  her a good reason why it should not be done.  She is caring to her friends.  She is got her own ideas.  She is a happy child and I am so glad and thankful that she is mine.

Take care,
Nez
