Conversations with Myself

Have  I ever told you that I like Tours?.  Not the one you thinking of but Tours city in France.  You got me?.  Well I’m crazy about this small laid back town.

When we thought about finding a place to stay in France, I have no doubt, I wanted to stay in the city.  We had many reasons why we chose the city, one of them was based on making my everyday life very eventful and interesting.  I was very much aware that I am going to be a stay at home mom.  I become very unsettled when I don’t have anything to do or place to go.  I wanted to be able to move, go shopping, watch movies and more anytime I want to.  Its 7 months since I have been in France. So far we have not regretted a thing about this place.

• If you have been following this blog for sometime you know how crazy I am about running in the mornings and you probably love me for my sun rise pics *wink*.  You are welcomed, I love sunrise pics too and I seem to get good spots to snap shots.  Have a look at this one.  Insane!.

• I like, I like  tram.  Its so so relieving to be able to travel almost everywhere I want with this transport.  I mean, its just outside our complex and it passes just in front of Muli’s school.  It takes me straight to Jean Jaures – the heart beat of city centre.  Did I tell you the thing does not make any noise?.  Its rails are perfectly fitted on the ground and almost covered by a bed of green grass.  If I didn’t point you to the rails between the grass, you wouldn’t have guessed.  You might think it slides on the grass ha! Perfect.

 

• The place has many forest and many parks.  I like that I can spend hours in a very safe forestry place and watch Muli run for hours.  Is that not a dream for every mom with a toddler without siblings?.  To see your child entertaining herself is a stress reliever.

• I like the running track nearby.  I cant postpone exercising for days because I am forever seeing ladies and gents of all sizes and shapes running.  I like morning runs and I see very few people running in the mornings.  Tours community enjoy running in hot midday sun.  Ok, that one I wont do but it pumps me up to see people being so responsible for their health.  Moms pushing kids in strollers included.

• The City has it all.  I wont go to details of abundant dining, the entertainment and tourist attraction places for now.   I can go on and on about things I like in this place but I will stop here.
