Random thoughts on Friday.

Hey, its Friday.  I promise I will  be as brief as possible, no matter how long it takes.  Lets get on with it.

  • Today is the first day of school holidays and we have no plans to go out.  It will be good to just stay in pyjamas way past midday.  I have plan B if we should ever feel the need of Vitamin D.
  • I like reading and I have always liked it.  I have added a text ‘MyRead’ on my side bar so I can hold myself responsible to read at least one book in a month.  I am more into inspirational and motivational books for personal development and empowerment.  This month I’m reading the art of possibilities and Unglued.  I am convinced that everyone should read the art of possibilities.  This book is a tool necessary to craft your life into one of unlimited possibilities.  I am looking forward to read each and every page of this book.
  • Still on reading.  I have teamed up with my sweet sister Vuyiswa to read Unglued.  I feel like slapping myself for not taking people serious when they were recommending this book.   I started the book already but I had to stop because I felt the need to share.  I think every mother should read this book.  Well, there was no one else to convince to read the book other than my sister.   I am so excited about this.  We WhatsApp, e-mail and call each other randomly throughout the day to talk about the book.  We are so obsessed about this book at the moment.
  • Yesterday I saw a group of about thirty 5-7 years old children, all wearing hats.  The first time I looked at them I wondered, why are all these kids wearing hats?.  Its for sun protection, you only have one skin dah!  And it suddenly dawned on me that I have never packed a hat for Muli when she was going outdoors on a school trip.  My eyes became teary.
  • On lighter side, we were playing with a play dough and Muli asked me to make ‘Daddy’ and she said she is making a chicken.  I could not wait to see the chicken she has made because we have never made chicken before.  This girl took time to add colours and she was so consumed in her creation.  After what seems like forever she said “mommy wala! A chicken!” Her face was beaming with pride.  I clapped and gave her kisses for making a chicken.  That roll of a dough looks nothing like a chicken but hey, its chicken lol!
