I have not been checking in for a while.  It means that I am busy,  I don’t get enough time to sit, reflect on our lives and write my thoughts.  I missed this corner though.

So what’s in my mind right now?

  • It is June.  We are now living in the half part of year 2015.  How is that possible really?.  June is winter season in this part of the world.  And winter in this part of SA comes with rains.  Its been three weeks since I have parked Lady Bird (my bike).  It was so amazing to cycle to work but all good things must come to a pause, not to the end.  Ha!  I don’t mind cycling in cold but rain, No!.  I keep on reminding myself that spring is coming and I will be back cycling to work.  Now and again I check Copenhagen cycling chic blog to see what cycling girls are up to.

I want summer now please.

  • I want summer mainly to ride my bike other than that I am loving winter.  I like how everything slows down in winter.  No vacations to plan.  No picnics.  Streets are empty way before the night comes.  Meals are warmer and bigger (welcome larger waist).  We all feel comfortable covering our curves in layers of winter clothes. Right?.  ha!.  But mostly I like time spent with my family doing nothing and playing with Muli.  Muli likes daddy because he makes all her dreams come true.  Now daddy is making her look like a penguin. ha!

Mommy look, Daddy makes me look like a penguin.  These crazy moments are rare in summer because of planned entertainment activities.

  • In the evening when I drive home I get stuck on traffic.  Phew!.  That makes me miss my bike more, but hey, there are two sides in every coin.  So I treat myself to the lovely view of sunset.  This day it was extra perfect.  Its like there was fire up in the horizon.

What Am I looking forward to this month?

  • A low key months and making some good memories.
  • Having lunch with a friend I have not seen since I came back from France.
  • My nephews spending holidays with us (I am super excited about this one).
  • Organising thousands and thousands of my vacation pictures.
  • Keep going to gym.  No pressure on this one. I like that gym gym makes me alert at work.  Two days a week will do.

Children of Mzantsi I hope that you making the most from this months especially since it is youth month.  Remember June 16.

Take care,
Nez
