Rotterdam – The city of Architecture.

Hello Lovelies,
Its raining today in this part of the country. I am planning to spend all day in pjs. Muli is home today so I have some colouring, cooking and some activities planned to keep her busy. Don’t you just like rainy days spent in pjs?. Because I do. Ok, lets jump into Europe vacation recap wagon.
Rotterdam is a city in the Dutch province of South-Holland, it is in the western side of The Netherlands. It prides its self with the largest port in Europe and has the neatest architectural buildings I have ever seen.
When we were in Rotterdam, for three straight days the sky was grey. We thought the rain was going to pour down the thickest clouds but it never did. We got the occasional sun peeping from the clouds.
We stayed in the heart of Rotterdam. At the lovely Hampshire hotel. All the city attractions were within walking distance. The first day, for a bit of adrenaline kick we took a walk to the market, sat on the streets and watched the excitement in Muli’s face as the bridge opens and closes for the ship.
And explored the city. I liked this writing on the wall: I have to change to stay the same.
Aaah! This crazy art next to Maritieme Museum.
The other day we took a walk to The Rotterdam Port. Amazing place it is. One thing that we quickly noticed about Rotterdam is that it is different from other European cities. After it was bombed to ashes in World War II, it took the opportunity to reinvent itself by going modern and not holding on to the past. Its architecture is bold and modern showing innovation and a liveliness.
Erasmus bridge- the symbol of Rotterdam also made the city skyline to be very impressive. Starring at the bridge set my heart at peace.
That’s it from me. Today its Wednesday, that means no school for Muli. She is been calling me asking for breakfast so I better go attend to her needs.
A bientot – see you soon!
Take care,
Nez
