This summer remember rule no.6

Hello Friends!

I am so proud of myself for waking up this morning.  I ran 5km.  Yaay!

I am having the best days in our house.  We cant be more happier about our guests, Mademoiselle Clara and Sera.  Our house is full of kids laughter.  I feel like its holidays back home in SA with my beloved nieces and nephews.  Muli is also over the moon.  FYI, my camera is not broken ha! I’m just respecting other people’s privacy.

Our visitors are super excited too.  Clara, Sera and Muli all sleep in one bedroom.  No one want to sleep alone in the bedroom.  I like the sound of giggles from their bedroom in the evenings.  It all makes me feel content.

I do get challenges sometimes because kids are kids and given a chance they want to take control.

When feeling overwhelmed I remind myself of RULE NUMBER 6 – DONT TAKE YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY.  The rule is from the book I am reading ‘the art of possibilities’.  It is a very good read.  Check the details of the book on my side bar if you want.  And by the way, you might want to ask what is rule no 1,2 etc.  There is no other rule, its only RULE NUMBER 6.

With a change of attitude on my side and giving kids some rules, we are all having a good time.  And  it is all true what they say,

French kids are well behaved.

I have visited few moms and found the same same well behaved kids.  We can be talking for hours without kids interrupting our conversation. In the shopping centres toddlers are severely reprimanded for what I will normally let go.  I don’t know what is the future effect of letting a child follow rules without challenging them but one thing for sure, it makes parenting much easier.

I like French parenting and I also like to see twinkling happy eyes in a child.  I like balance.  After all it is holidays and years pass by so fast.  Next time when we meet Clara and Sera they will be big girls and wont need someone to babysit them.  Most days I just spoil them as long as they eat full breakfast and have few mouthful of their greens for lunch and supper.

Tours is got many beautiful Gardens ever.  They have play areas for kids and benches to sit.  Not a single day pass without us visiting a Garden or a pool.  I also like to take the girls to the city centre and let them play in the carousels, they like them.  Its these simple things that makes them happy and keep them busy.

I have to stop here because,

Somebody is demanding pain au chocolat et coca-cola – chocolate bread and coca cola this time of the morning.  I can tell we are going to have a good fight because I just prepared them oats.

Ciao from me!

Have a good day.

Take care,
Nez
