Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

The past few weeks have been challenging.  Our helper resigned and left mid of this month.  My work week hours were longer.  It was tougher to achieve work life balance.  As a mom of a 7 years old and an almost two year old, have learnt, like all moms will attest that they grow up fast.  No matter how hectic it is, spending time with and serving my family is a priority. That is why it was easy for me to sighn up for yet another sleep over at the aquarium, that was held this past Saturday.  Cape Town Two Ocean Aquarium host […]

Cape Town Aquarium Sleep Over – Saving Water Like a Penguin.

Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

Me and Muli have been looking forward to the Two Oceans Aquarium sleep over since it was announced by the end of Feb. Perfect theme, saving water like a penguin as Cape Town is faced with water crisis.  A good initiative to educate both kids and adults in a playful environment. Muli was anticipating loads of fun because she has done their yearly sleepovers before.  All the time she had fun and makes friends that she claim are her BFF’s, only to never see them again. Ha!.  As for me I have my adult reasons that made me to look forward to the sleep […]

Friends, family and Sunset on Table Mountain.

Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

It would be nice to add watching sunset in to my daily routine.  I actually must add it because watching the sunset brings my mind into the present, for a moment nothing matters .  Indeed, nature is fuel to the soul. Lets go back to the updates about our friends who visited us from France.  If you want to catch up on the updates about their stay in Cape Town, you can go here, here and here. We took a cable car up the table mountain. While waiting for the sun to set we took a walk around, stopping now and […]

Friends, balancing work and family life is no child’s play.  There are weeks when I feel like I am winning at this balance, some weeks I get hit by guilt over everything.  Guilt of thinking and missing my kids when I am at work.  Guilt that I am not committed enough to my work when I am spending time with my family.  The guilt is real but hey I like my life and I will choose it again if there is a life after this.  Lets start were we left off about my friends from France.  Quickly go here and here […]

WE ARE READY FOR HER FIRST DAY AT KINDERGARTEN.

Zee is 18 months and she is starting kindergarten tomorrow. She thinks she started too late, ha!. She does not understand why should Muli go to school and leave her. Every morning she wears Muli’s school uniform and refuses to take it out. When I came from work I made her carry her new backpack. She was very excited for like 2.5 minutes. I just blinked and there was no bag on her back, she threw it on the floor. Ha!. But she thinks she is so ready to go to school. Ready or not, we are excited and ready […]

Perfect Holidays Part 2

Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

20171221_152711

I have never hit the snooze button like I did in the past few weeks.  I am sooooo lazy to wake up in the morning.  Today my alarm rang once and I kicked off the blankets.  As I was running in the morning breezed I vowed never to hit a snooze button like I do this days.  I need to stop being lazy and go out for a morning run or walk.  Summer will be over soon, and I will miss morning runs.  Ok, back to Perfect Holidays. Our hotel in Bloemfontein did not disappoint. We arrived before the sun […]

Festivities + Perfect holidays Part 1

Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

How is it possible that we are approaching end of the first month of the year?. I am sitting here reminiscing about December holidays. Me and Cullo live far from our immediate families. Every year we try to have two weeks or more with our families. In the year 2016 we were in Malawi and we had a blast with family and friends. This past Christmas holidays we were in Mafikeng to spend some time with my side of family. I really don’t know which holidays are more perfect than the once spent with family. Our holidays started before the […]

Things that decorated my life in the year 2017

I thought it will be great to pop-in and document the highlights of 2017. I can’t believe we are here already. Plans about holidays, x-mass shopping are on full swing. Please raise your hand if you cant concentrate at work and so looking forward to holidays. Mine is up. I am seriously feeling anxious. I don’t know whether to start counting down the days to the close of the office or I should just chill and wait for the day. I also feel like doing nothing and go out to the beach at every chance I get, play with kids […]

Thoughts on Wednesday

Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

I miss writing regularly.  After a long day at work and taking care of kids and house hold staff all I want is to rest.  Today I am |sitting here in the lounge, kids are fed, bathed and tugged in bed.  I just felt like writing.  There are a random things going on in my head. Like, I JUST CUT ZEE’S HAIR.  Yep.  I was giving girls a bath and I just took a scissor and chop off all the hair.  Why do I feel sad though?.  Its only hair it will grow again.  I have been thinking of cutting them for […]

My ray of sunshine.

Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

Spring has sprung in this side of the country.  We are still having chilly days.  In those few hours when the sun is out we make use of the chance and go play outside.  You are welcome to admire the amazing vegetation in these pics.  I don’t want to talk about spring right now.  I just want to talk about my ray of sunshine. Lets forget about those ugly moments. Like those nights when I have just fed her for the 4th time and within 8min she is up again. Or those days when she refuses to dress up to […]
