Brussels – Our last destination!

Hello Lovelies!
We have reached the end of our recaps and I am so glad you kept reading to this far. It was a long journey travelled and it took me time to jot down the memories. I always find joy in reliving the past through writing. Without being too emotional let me welcome you to Brussels.
This is the capital City of Belgium . Spoken language is French and Dutch.
When we arrived in Brussels, It felt like we were finally back in France. The reason being:1). it was our last destination, 2) in reality it is closer to France. For the first time in weeks I started hearing ‘Bonjour Madam’ and the likes, though with different accent. The last time we were in French speaking country was when where in Switzerland. And 3) the architecture is similar to that of France plus the narrow streets shared by both cyclist and motorist is typical French streets.
The plan was not to exhaust ourselves in Brussels but rather relax and recuperate for driving back to France. We were to drive 600km back. We never ever want to drive long hours or feel pressure on the road. So we did just that – recuperate. We spent some time reading and playing with Muli in the hotel. We also got ourselves some time to see the city.
We took hop on hop off bus. We spent a day exploring Brussels. Contradicting our plan to relax, ha!. The highlights : Atom structure – Atomium.
Museums and Cathedrals.
Walking down the streets.
Brussels was the last destination of our Europe tour. We were happy we completed the tour still feeling strong and well. As an adult, you don’t see much change in your body in terms growth, but one can see huge changes in a toddler. Muli grew up so much in this trip, physically and mentally (more about this next time). She took 7 hours of driving back to France like a little travelling diva that she is. Just when we open the door to our house, she went straight upstairs to see her staffed animals. Oh, sweet girl!
Thank you so much for following along and reading the recaps. I deeply appreciate you.
