Written by , Posted in Travel

Happy Monday Friends! Did you enjoy your weekend?.  On Friday evening we went out to hunt for a good steak restaurant.  Yes, I was craving a beef steak.  We got a juicy steak at La Maison des Halles.  On Saturday we did some shopping in the morning and took an evening walk. Then church on Sunday and hang around at home after church.  That’s it about our weekend and back to The Hague. Good morning Lovelies! A normal day in Amsterdam.  The post man is delivering letters on his bicycle, hopping on and off of his bike to drop letters sometimes to avoid bumping someone.  The streets are busy, bikes are everywhere. Bicycles are prevailing mode of transport in Amsterdam. To most of us biking is a joy that we left in pre-teen years.  There is no better place to light up that childhood joy than in Amsterdam.  Ok, I thought I saw many bicycles in Berlin. No, that was nothing. People are riding bicycles in this city.  Amongst them are ladies in […]

Morning friends! Without further ado lets jump straight to the point. There is so much to Germany than Berlin, Munich and Black Forest.  In northern Germany, is the less explored – country’s second biggest city, Hamburg.  We experienced why Hamburg Port is called Gateway to the world by cruise.  The Port of Hamburg lies on the shores of the Elbe River.  It is very popular to tourists.  One thing that fascinated me a lot was the floating dry dock. And huge Container ships in port terminal, huge freighter fully loaded. Not only is the Elbe river shores known as a […]

Morning Friends! I wont even go to details about our laid back weekend.  Instead I will straight go to: The capital city of Germany.  Of all the cities we have been, this was the city that offers the best of everything.  I was standing in our hotel balcony looking over the the city when Cullo joined me and asked,  ‘what do you think of Berlin’.  Without thinking I said, when standing here I see boldness, careful planning, risk taking. Buildings are huge, better, higher and more glittering. This is Berlin!. The day started with grey sky and the possibility of […]

Hi Friends, a lovely good morning! Lets continue with our Europe road trip recap.  For some Europe trip inspiration be sure to read the previous post: France-Lyon, Switzerland-Geneva, Austria-Vienna Part 1 & Part 2 and Czech Republic-Prague Part 1 & Part 2. Welcome to Poland, Wroclaw!.  The magical city.  Most of the City disappeared in World War II.    Since then people of Wroclaw picked up the pieces to build the amazing city that we see today.  Still, decades later the results of the war is still seen in the City. Travelling with a 3yrs old child.

Written by , Posted in Travel

Hello Friends, I am still in SA.  Who can possibly keep up with blogging when she has nieces and nephews to take out for ice cream, siblings to chat the night away with, friends to meet for drinks, spending lazy days chilling-catching up with my mom and driving her around?.  Surely not me, ha! I normally don’t see my family as much as I would like.  So when I get times like these, I treasure and make the most of it.  There is only one person missing here, my hubby!.  I miss him so much it hurts.  *Deep breath*.  Ok, […]

I spent some quality time with my family and flied to Cape Town yesterday. I came in Cape Town to attend the last module of my studies. I did not even  had the chance to enjoy the beautiful spring day. My lectures started bright and early at […]
