Happy new year + A movie day.

We had the most relaxing Christmas holidays. We decided not to travel this December holidays. It is difficult to leave more than 1300km from your parents and siblings. Christmas is better spent with family and friends. It was a bit lonely though but we had time to each other without the rush of work and school. I also had a time to do and think about Christmas traditions we practised when growing up. We also introduced new traditions for our young family. I miss my Mother and siblings, I will see them in the early months of this year.
I thought Muli school is beginning this morning. I woke up at 5am and went through the emails from her school. I was procrastinating going for a run. Then I learned that they are starting school next week. I called her to explain. She did not mind a bit, I then crawled back to bed. I will go for a jog tomorrow. Ha!.
I woke up to check on the girls after Cullo left for work. They were already up by 6:30am. I told them they can play and remain in their bedroom while I get extra 30min sleep. Its the last week of my holidays. Please!.
I managed to shake off the sleep and got myself and kids ready for 11:45 movie at the nearest cinema. We watched The Grinch. The cinema was empty, there were 2 more people in the cinema. Most schools were opening today. I was so pleased to have missed the holiday crowds.
The kids had a blast watching the movie. Zee was more interested in eating and playing with popcorns and Muli girl was in to the movie while I was drowsing. It was difficult for me to believe that I once used to watch movies without drowsing. I cant seem to keep my eyes opened in the cinema these days. Muli has given up on me. People, aging is real. Ha.
After the movie I let the kids run around in the mall. We then picked up some doughnuts to enjoy at home. While driving home Muli mentioned that she is happy that the Grinch went to apologise to the village people for trying to ruin their Christmas joy. And that she is happy that Cindy Lou Hoo saved the grumpy Grinch. I was pleased that she learned something from the movie. Mission accomplished and I forgive myself for sleeping AGAIN in the cinema.
Take care,
Nez
