Playing at Parc de la Gloriette

Spring time!. I like, I like spring and summer. The nature is all dressed up in amazing colours. Butterflies, bees and other insect are enhancing the beauty of nature. There was no way we were going to be indoors. Mother nature was calling, who are we to say no when presented with a beautiful weather outside. All we needed to do was to pack our snack bags, sunscreen on and put our shades.
We headed to Parc de la Gloriette. This park is situated next to L’heure tranquille shopping complex. To us is a walking distance. It is one of the many gardens in Tours. This garden is very well kept. There are golf courses, cyclist trails, and lots of open spaces where kids can run around.
This park is huge you can visit many times without your little one losing interest. Like yesterday Muli was not in the mood for swings. Insects and bugs kept her busy. She spend some time trying to catch a butterfly. But before we knew it a bee appeared and gave us a good show.
Muli run arround the place. She kept pointing at things she is seeing for the first time many many times and kept asking ‘mommy what is this’ . She had a good time counting petals.
She was a busy bee.
After playing we found benches and sat down to eat our snacks.
It was good sitting there in the sun. When it was time to go, Muli was not keen to leave. I told her there are other things we where to see on our way home. She thought I was just tricking her. Ok, she won, we stayed here for sometime.
The doll had all the swinging. Muli did not want to swing.
This summer you will find me in places like this. Places that are kids friendly. In the past years I used to spend a lot of time shopping, watching movies and hanging in resturants over drinks. But this summer, I am raising a toddler. There will be less shopping, movies and restaurant but a lots of playing on the sand, in the gardens, watching bees eating pollen, chasing butterflies and counting petals. I wont swap this moments for anything.
Back to work now. Have a productive day!
Take care,
Nez
