Last week Thursday the kids started school.  The kids slept at 8pm sharp a day before they start school.  They were looking forward to sleep because they were exhausted.  We had a movie date and had loads of playtime in the mall.  You can read about our movie date here if you want.

I was hoping to do a 5ish km before I start the day but I only managed to kick the blankets at about 6am.  I was not going to be able to drop them on time should I start with 5km run, so I settled for a quicker route of 3km. My sweaty face and happy kiddo (Zee is extremely happy. I swear. Ha!).

20190110_075359The miles went on fast because I was thinking about Zee.  She has reached few mile stones during the December holidays.  The main milestone is that she is now potty trained.  It is a bitter sweet milestone for her.  She is happy that she can wear big girl panties but at times she find it to be a huge responsibility.  Sometimes she just does not want to go to the bathroom and she will cry for a diaper.  She is very aware that she can do as she please when wearing a diaper.  Clever girl.

It is going to be a total new experience for her to be using school bathrooms regularly.  I packed enough clothing for her incase of accidents.

When we were all ready and about to get to a car Muli said “Lets walk Mommy.  Working is much better than driving”.  Wow, I was impressed at her brilliant idea.  I was not back at work yet so why not I had all the time.

Zee was excited about walking but she had doubts about going back to school.  I could not blame her, who does not have mixed feelings about going back to work after a looong and fun holidays.  Not me atleast.

She cried when we said our goodbyes.  I felt like scooping her and take her back home with me but I could not because she had to get over a FIRST DAY before she can fully enjoy the second, third and more days to come at school.  We left quickly hoping that she will settle in a second.

Muli was very excited because it was not her first day of school yet.  She was going to a daycare.  That means lots of playtime with friends.  She talked all the way to school.

When I got home, the house was very quite without their lughter.  I missed them.  I then went to the shops to buy Zee stationary.  Which one is better?. The old plastic book cover or the ready made fit.  I know your answer already but why did I buy the old plastic book cover?.

Have a great day further.

Take care,
Nez
